Happy Monday friends! I’m back from a wonderful trip to Chicago last week and rolled right into another typical weekend of driving back and forth to hockey rinks. It was wonderful and I enjoyed every minute of it.
Regarding Chicago, one thing we discovered is that we like the crust of Malnati’s pizza better but the overall taste of Giordano’s was better. I know you were all waiting for that result!
We also did the Skydeck of the Willis Tower this time around and that was a fun experience. It was a nice clear day so the views were fantastic!
And we did get to watch the Blackhawks lose to the Red Wings. Though it wasn’t the result we hoped for, my son was thrilled that we had great seats directly behind the Red Wings bench and we not only got to see Patrick Kane, but he was able to fist bump him twice in the tunnel. The smile on his face was priceless and I was glad to be able to give him that experience.
We stopped by the La Salle/Van Buren CTA stop as well and took a picture where one of the closing scenes of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles was filmed. If you haven’t seen this classic movie, it’s one you should definitely watch with Thanksgiving right around the corner.
And lastly, since this is supposed to be Finance Monday, I’ve posted a picture of Trump Tower. I’m not a political person and won’t discuss politics on here at all. However, since he was just elected president and the market has jumped since the election last week, here is a picture along the Chicago River of the Tower. Good or bad, the market seems to be reacting to the knowledge of what the next 4 years may bring and if you aren’t in the stock market, you need to consider it very strongly!
Have a great Monday everyone! And if anyone needs any Chicago suggestions for activities or food, let me know.
