So I can admit two things here. 1. I know absolutely nothing about soccer. 2. I was wrong.
I figured I would just go with the favorite and said France would win. I was completely wrong but it didn’t make me lose any sleep. I have a friend who told me he was glad to see them lose because he said “I didn’t know France was a country in Africa”. I saw that 23 of the 26 players were born in France so I was wondering what the issue was until he sent me the roster. Then I understood.
So being a baseball guy, I said which is worst? Having the French World Cup team be comprised of mostly all French born players who are obviously not French heritage or the Italian World Baseball Classic roster which comprised an entire roster of men with Italian heritage but only 4 of them actually born in Italy?
