I thought a good way to go into the Thanksgiving holiday was to share both a good article and my personal choices for what is on the beer menu for Thanksgiving. Here is a link from The Growler Guys on the best beers for Thanksgiving.
In our family, the tradition has been to gather on Wednesday night before Thanksgiving and watch “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles” which is the greatest Thanksgiving movie in my opinion. If you haven’t seen this one, you are doing yourself a disservice.
So my brother and I will be sharing some beers over apps, dinner, and dessert both tomorrow and Thursday evening.
My brother has chosen a Double Nickel (local beer) The Hallway and Kentucky Pumpkin Barrell Ale.
My two picks are Corsendonk Agnus Tripel and Big Bad Baptist Chocolate Rapture 2019 (this one has been aging a long time).
These beers should go nicely with the meal and the big flavors of the Chocolate Imperial Stout will compliment a big piece of pumpkin pie!
What is everyone else drinking for Thanksgiving? Or for any of my readers outside of the USA and not celebrating Thanksgiving…what are you drinking on a normal Thursday this week?
I’m off the rest of the week and won’t be sitting in front of the computer so enjoy and see you next week!
