Alaska Summit

This time I’m not talking about a mountain peak. I don’t follow politics very closely at all…mostly because I dislike all politicians. But I do know the President is at the Alaska Summit which is being held at the Joint Base Elmendorf–Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska. I only took note of this because this is where Mikey and I played our last round of golf in Alaska a couple months ago. The Moose Run Golf Course has two courses there, the Hill and the Creek. (We played the Creek Course). Just curious if anyone attending the Summit will be playing the course we did?

A quote from USA Today:

Treadwell, who was the state’s lieutenant governor from 2010-2014, said there could be another reason for Trump to agree to meet at JBER: the sprawling 36-hole Moose Run Golf Course. Along with sand traps and water hazards, he said, players there must periodically avoid moose and bears.

“In the summer here, you can play golf until almost midnight, but I doubt he’ll have time for that,” he said.

And I’m also curious how much of the area known as “Watch the Planes Approach” at Point Woronzof was blocked off when Air Force One was landing?
