Today’s sports = $$$ topic is not what you’re thinking. We all know professional athletes, and now college athletes with the ability to cash in with NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) are raking in some serious money. But that’s not what I’m talking about because 99.99% of our kids aren’t going to become professional athletes. They are going to hopefully end up in the work force and be productive members of society. So how does sports equal money then?
As I mentioned briefly yesterday, I felt growing up playing multiple sports taught me valuable life lessons and surrounded me with better people….and ultimately led me to making better life decisions and kept me motivated in other aspects of life. I wasn’t wrong. There are so many articles and studies done that tell us that. Young children who grew up playing youth team sports tend to do better later in life and even end up making more money in their jobs vs those who did not.
You can search articles and have hundreds to scroll through. I found so many myself but this one seems to do a nice job of summarizing all the key points. It’s a good short read.

So sign your kids up at a young age for whatever town sports are available in your area. It will benefit them later in life. And start saving now….because when they get older, it gets expensive!!
