So a picture is worth a 1000 words…this one probably more. I’m not going to beat this dead horse any further and as my title today reads : This soon shall pass.
Somebody will undoubtedly do something way more stupid and newsworthy by the weekend and we’ll be on to something else to ridicule in the media.
Let this be a lesson though for everyone in every facet of life. Let this really be a lesson to the younger generation (who maybe knows better than us old people that everything gets caught on camera now). But the lesson is that every action (good or bad) has a consequence (also good or bad).
We live in this instant gratification world were we want everything we desire right this moment. Very little thought goes into the long term and the repercussions.
Gotta have that new car or designer purse or fancy watch. Buy it with money you don’t have and destroy your credit rating. Buy a house someday down the road and because of that rating you get 2% higher interest on your mortgage rate costing you thousands of dollars in the long run. Everything has a consequence. Have the foresight to stop and think for a moment what that could be.
In closing, the picture above will be forgotten soon enough by all of us. This soon shall pass. But they will continue to face the consequences of their actions for the rest of their lives.
