Yesterday was Father’s Day and I just wanted to say “Happy Father’s Day” to all the Dads out there. Raising kids isn’t easy and most of us find ways to do it without completely screwing things up (that’s probably due in large part to having a good wife/mother in our lives to keep things on the right track).
I’ve been blessed. Below is a picture of my parents with the kids from several years ago at the ice rink. My Dad has and continues to be there for me in my life when I need advice or someone to talk to about basically anything. I’m so thankful for the relationship we have and that we still are able to do things together. I will never take that for granted and hope that I have many more years left with him in my life.
Below is a picture of my Father in Law who is unfortunately no longer with us. However, I was blessed again having him for the years I did in my life. I understand now as a father of a daughter myself, that seeing your little girl find someone and go off to get married must be a difficult situation on both ends. But he welcomed me from day 1, called me his son, and there was never a moment he wasn’t kind and generous to me. May you all be so lucky as me to have two men in your life you could call DAD! Happy Father’s Day!!
