If you live in the Northeastern US around the Philadelphia area, you would think the world is coming to a end. We are predicted to have a significant snow/ice event this weekend. How bad is it going to be? Who knows? Meteorologists have a lower batting average than most National League pitchers before the DH was introduced. We will find out as it’s happening.
The phenomenon is that Americans rush to the supermarkets here and stock up on bread, eggs, and milk. What are these people doing? Are they making French Toast 3x a day to get through having to shovel their sidewalk and driveways? I never understood that rationale.
To our friends in the South, they are probably thinking this is a total disaster in the making. To our friends in the North, they probably don’t even blink twice at a foot or more of snow and ice. It’s all relative and what you are used to in your geography.
For me, the fridge is stocked with more than just French Toast supplies and I have a bar full of beer and liquor. I’m all set….so don’t worry about me and have a great weekend!
